UCYM Boards and Councils
United Catholic Youth Ministries is supported by groups of volunteers who take a vested interest in the various areas of ministry UCYM supports.
The UCYM Board is a multi-parish body that advises the UCYM staff on programs that will best serve our communities. The board meets to discuss and evaluate the effectiveness of UCYM in the parishes, parish grouping, and wider community twice a year. Representatives from all parishes and schools, pastors, and leaders from various ministries make up the board.
The Youth Council is made up of the peer ministers and is a working group. The council directly advises the directors of youth ministry and help in planning events and retreats.
YOUNG ADULT COUNCIL
The Young Adult Council is a group of young adults from all walks of life who advise the young adult ministry team on how to best serve young adults.
The Hispanic Council (Consejo Hispano) is an advisory and working group that advises the UCYM staff on events, service, and programs with Hispanic Ministry in mind. The council is made up of representatives from different Hispanic ministries who work together to make sure that youth, families, and young adults are united.
Our Diversity Council is a small group of UCYM leaders who are intent on holding UCYM accountable to its DEI statement and mission of being a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive ministry.
