UCYM has many wonderful opportunities to get involved. All of our volunteer opportunities are flexible commitments. All employment opportunities are available to be done remotely when the position description does not require in person participation.

- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide variety of people, including lay ministers, college students, clergy, volunteers, and persons with varied social, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Must demonstrate understanding and respect for Catholic Church teaching, mission and values. Fully committed to supporting the Gospel message.

Volunteer OpportunitesYouth Ministers
Youth Ministers volunteer in a variety of ways through many programs offered through UCYM. Youth Ministers are dedicated adults who have a passion for working with youth and accompanying them on their faith journey. Podcast Team Members
Members of our Closed on Sunday Podcast assist the team in a variety of ways including, based on interest and skills, graphic design, audio/video editing, topic and speaker researchers, and being hosts for episodes. Social Media Strategists
Social Media Strategists assist the Communications Team with researching and creating relevant content that keeps people engaged with our social media platforms. Staff Team OpportunitiesAll of our dedicated staff are working in volunteer capacities.
Assistant Executive Director, Development
The assistant executive director of development oversees all fundraising, grant research and applications, and builds relationships with donors to ensure their continued support of UCYM. Assistant Executive Director, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
The Assistant Executive Director for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging is responsible for holding the ministry and administration of UCYM accountable to its DEIB mission statement and advise the board working group. Director, Retreat Ministry
The director for retreat ministry develops and is the principal organizer of our six retreat templates. Director, Youth and Young Adult Leadership Formation
The leadership formation director for youth and young adults is the developer and principal leader of our Leadership Academy program templates. The director also works with our young adults on the Board of Directors to build community and develop leadership skills. Director, Marketing and Communications
The director of marketing and communications is the leader behind strategic marketing and oversees communications not limited to Flocknote (our email communication platform), social media, and the website. |
Board of Directors OpportunitiesVoting Member Seats (4)
Voting Members are responsible for setting strategic direction as well as policies and procedures that will help advance UCYM's mission and operations. Voting member candidates must be affirmed by a majority vote of the current board. Auxiliary Members
Auxiliary Members are non-voting members who join a board working group that supports implementation of a specific area of UCYM ministry and administration. UCYM has four working groups:

Spiritual Advisors are clergy and religious who commit to supporting UCYM's spiritual and sacramental life. Our spiritual advisors also help promote vocations.
