_______________________________________________________________________________ My name is Shannon Ambroise. I was born and raised in Evanston, where I attended Evanston public schools and graduated from Evanston Township High School. I went on to attend college at National-Louis University, where I received a B.A. in Psychology. I later dived deeper into the Catholic faith, and made the decision to complete the RCIA program at St. Mary Parish in the early 2000's. After inquiring about volunteering for ministerial programs at St. Mary's, my inquiry progressed into me working as an office assistant at St. Mary's for several years. While attending St. Mary 's young adult Catholic ministry, I was encouraged to apply for the Augustus Tolton full ministerial scholarship program at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. I was accepted into the program and I completed my M.A. degree in pastoral studies in 2019. I currently facilitate the St. Mary Evanston Black Catholics group and I am a devoted volunteer of St. Mary's SPRED program. During my free time I enjoy cooking, singing, traveling, art and spending quality time with my friends and family! |
