We Celebrate Women!
United Catholic Youth Ministries celebrates Women's History Month by, first, acknowledging the crucial role of women in the world and the Catholic Church. Thanks to women religious communities and lay women, there would be a lack of ministry leadership as women make up the majority of ecclesial ministry leadership. Unfortunately, women have encountered a lot of discrimination in history and much of that still needs addressing today. It is important for us to uphold the human dignity of women.
At UCYM, we are blessed that 75% of our senior leadership are strong leaders who are women. We thank them and the many other women on our staff and board for their leadership and commitment to young people.

Happy International Women's Day! It is no coincidence that the majority of our leadership is women. Ministry in the Catholic Church would not exist without women who generously and faithfully answer God's call to serve. Today especially, we celebrate the life and ministry of all women in leadership at UCYM. We could not do what we do without you - thank you, all!
