Youth Ministers

Our youth ministers are dedicated adults who are interested in being pastoral leaders for youth. Our Youth Ministry Team is intended to be a network of volunteer youth ministers as well as an opportunity for continued faith and ministry formation for adults. People who join this group understand what it means to not leave the Church behind and, instead, take up the helm and lead the present into the future so that there is a future, which is in our youth. 

All youth ministers that serve through UCYM are in total compliance with the child protection mandates of UCYM.

Formation

Youth ministers are provided opportunities for formation. This is not formal certification, but formation in the form of accompaniment and discipleship. 

Formation and training are provided in the following areas:

• Mental Health
• Pastoral Care
• Accompaniment
• Theology of the Human Person (Body, Mind, and Spirit)
• Catholic Social Teaching
• Sacramental Theology
• Scripture: Incarnation
